Constitution Literacy Series!
Come learn about the United States Constitution with AHS Constitution and Civil Center!
Friday, Sept 30th
AHS Worldwide
Livestream begins at 7:00 p.m. (MT)
StudentGo videos are part of our unlimited, premium membership in Family School and provide students (and parents) with a little more independence. These wonderful videos supplement and substitute for the parent-led, Character Core lesson…and what homeschool mom doesn’t need a substitute now and then! Videos have been produced in various formats, styles, and settings. Each is authentic, uplifting, and engaging. Many parents invite their children to review their respective age-level StudentGo video and have a short discussion as their “Character Core” experience for the day. It’s doesn’t get any more simple than that!
Creating a comprehensive language arts program is not for the faint of heart, and it’s likely why very few organizations attempt it. It’s not hard to find a good reading program, or writing resource, or learn-to-read curriculum, but rarely will you find all the language arts disciplines within one comprehensive curriculum. Well, we introduce you to I Love Language, also based off of the Virginia State Standards and in its second version. This beautiful academic- and character-building resource is now available for all K–8 learners and your membership includes access to all of them…for your entire family!
After several years of internal research, a small team of math experts at American Heritage School decided to build on top of the decades of proven, research-based results of the Virginia State Standards. Virginia has produced some of the most consistently high K–8 math (and language arts) results in the country for several decades. Importantly, Virginia (likely because of their track record) decided not to adopt Common Core in 2010 along with only a handful of other States. I Master Math is now in its second version and is already producing strong outcomes for our Worldwide students.
How about 36 high school-level courses…for free!? Many of these courses are elevated K–8 Character Core courses to allow even your 9–12 students to learn with the youngers with a common sequence. Additionally, we have developed many wonderful electives for high school, including Family Science, Leadership, Financial Literacy, Computer Technology, and Defending Religious Liberty to name a few. These freely available high school courses are all self-paced, student-led, and not-for-credit. For for-credit courses, visit AHS Online managed by the American Fork Campus.
Our Character Core offering includes over 30 K–8 courses in history, science, literature, geography, art, and music. Each lesson of each course combines 55 years of proven academics with beautiful Restored Gospel principles and is designed to teach multiple children of various ages together. Enjoy 1000+ ready-made, low- to-no-prep lesson plans, and choose between two lengths for each—a condensed 20–25 minute experience or the 45–60 minute full lesson experience. It’s up to you! Additionally, teaching resources and student workbooks are all available for free download and self-printing, but can also be ordered from our print store and shipped to your home.
HeartStart Preschool is exactly what it’s named—an education of the heart—and that’s the start we want for every curious learner! We know how important these foundational years are, and getting the heart right, is much more important than letter sounds, names and formation, or shapes, colors, and numbers—although HeartStart includes all that, too. HeartStart Preschool redefines preschooling with the fundamental belief that learning at any age (and perhaps especially in preschool) should focus on the heart and a genuine love of learning. Learning should be active, fun…and starting right is critical.
