Unit 2 Leadership: Finding Inspired Solutions

LEADERSHIP is NOT Position

Starting Monday, April 27, we will be diving into Unit 2 of our Leadership course: Finding Inspired Solutions. This is for all phases: Early Elementary, Upper Elementary, and Middle School.

Building on the self-leadership and emotional regulation skills from Unit 1, this new unit empowers students to tackle real-world problems. Over eight hands-on lessons, they will earn four new “Leader Brain” tool badges—The Explorer, The Creator, The Discerner, and The Engager—mastering a complete problem-solving pathway from root-cause analysis to courageous action.

To prepare for the upcoming badge challenges, please help your student gather their daily essentials: their Student Workbook (found in the Resources tab of the course), preferred writing/coloring tools, scissors, tape, four blank “Thank You” cards, and a timer. Throughout the unit, they will also need a few everyday household items to test their new skills, such as a mystery shoebox or basic building materials like index cards and paper cups for a tower challenge. Finally, a special pro-tip for our early elementary parents: don’t throw away that broken crayon! You’ll need to save one ahead of time, as it becomes the memorable centerpiece of The Creator badge challenge.
