"Start Right" with AHS Worldwide's Fitness Videos

Have you ever been distracted during a meeting? Procrastination and stalling are something that I am positive every parent is familiar with: Students staring blankly at the screen, getting up multiple times for snacks, and the constant reminders to focus. What if five minutes of movement could reset that pattern? 

The new Start Right program we offer here at A.H.W. helps solve this problem. Each video is only a 5-minute-long guided exercise and is designed to help students move actively. Each Start Right video offers a mental reset that helps students be able to focus better. This renewed focus means fewer reminders to get started and fewer delays in completing assignments.   

Yohosh Bonner has experience in athletics administration, teaching, singing and acting. 

Guiding each Start Right Fitness video is Yohosh Bonner. He is currently the head of athletics at our American Fork Campus. Coach Bonner brings vibrant energy to each workout as he leads students and their families through a variety of exercises and stretches. These workouts are designed to be light and short, so every student can connect with Coach Bonners’ energy and stay engaged. With upbeat encouragement and clear direction, he turns a simple five-minute routine into an experience that feels interactive, positive, and tailored to your home.  

You may be thinking: This is great, but where can I even find these videos? 

Anyone with a family school account can find it on the dashboard at Familyschool.org. The videos are updated weekly, and the videos can be found on our YouTube playlist. No equipment is needed for any of these exercises.

We at American Heritage Worldwide have a clear focus on helping families have access to resources to help set students up for success. This is a versatile resource and can be useful in a plethora of ways. Students that may have a hard time sitting through classes can use these videos to help them take a short break and give them a much-needed mental reset. These videos can also teach students a variety of exercises and stretches to try on their own. I challenge you to try one Start Right Fitness video once a day for one week.
